WEB SITE MATCHES VOLUNTEERS WITH GROUPS THAT WANT THEM
Volunteer Canada has developed a program that will increase and promote volunteerism around the country.  The site was launched in April, and it is designed to match potential volunteers with groups that want to utilize their skills.  People looking for volunteer opportunities have to fill out a comprehensive application form, providing their interests, etc.  The service is free to both potential volunteers and agencies.  It may be a while before (VOE) Volunteer Opportunities Exchange, is effectively running.  A lot of organizations don’t know about the program, so it will probably take a couple months before people looking for volunteer opportunities will start seeing more matches in their searches.  If you are interested in this opportunity, the site can be found at www.voe-reb.org
